Environmental Training Seminars for CMWU Staff and Their Associations
Provide Consulting services -Environmental Training Seminars. The services include:
Task 1: conduct a need assessment of CMWU environmental department and associated municipal staff. The assessment will be based on a review of CMWU environmental mandates according to the Palestinian environmental and water laws, the available skills and staff, and identified needs.
Task 2: conduct a training program for CMWU staff and associates. The training program will be designed according to task No. I and catered to achieve the objective of the assignment.

This task includes conducting 4 workshops (1-day each) to cover the following topics (those are preliminary examples and can be adjusted/modified according to the need assessment):
- Workshop No. 1: to cover the topics of drinking water quality indicators, survey of groundwater resources in Gaza and water quality/pollution. Chemical and biological pollutants. Standards, groundwater monitoring, Palestinian water and environmental law as it applies to water supplied.
- WorkshopNo.2: the same topics as in workshop 1 but for waste water.
- Workshop No.3: water resources management themes, global warming and possible manifestations to west Bank and Gaza, adaptation, etc.
- Workshop No. 4: environmental assessment, management plans, etc.
